Getting Started
This utility helps you configure your instance of Predix UAA without extra tools. After configuring UAA, you can make real API calls to Predix services. First-time users can follow the steps in the menu in order.
First, set up the basics to create a secure microservice, including a Client ID and User. Next, set up authorities or groups and scopes, so you can access Predix platform services. Authorities are used with the "client_credentials" grant type. Groups and scopes are used with "password" or "authorization_code" grant type. Now you're ready to make API calls to your live instances of Predix services on the API Explorer tab.
This utility calls some of the REST API exposed by your instance of Predix UAA. The UAAC command line tool is a Ruby application that calls the same REST API, and allows for more advanced configuration.
To learn more about Predix, see the tutorials on Predix.io. For more information on OAuth, read An Introduction to OAuth2.
Note: This utility works across various Predix Points-of-Presence (US West, US East, EU, Japan). Services must in the same PoP as the UAA instance.
